Ecco una serie di Trucchi per ottimizzare e configurare al meglio il nostro vBSeo!

Move rewrite rules from .htaccess to httpd.conf

For users with dedicated servers, the vBSEO rewrite rules applied in the .htaccess files can be moved directly into the httpd.conf file for more efficient performance.



[forum_id] in URL formats

If your CRU format includes only [forum_title], 1 additional database query will be executed. To eliminate this query, simply be sure to include [forum_id] in the CRU format.

[user_id] in Member Profile/Avatar URL formats OR Disable them

Include [user_id] in your Member Profile and Avatar URL formats.

Related vbseocp.php options:

• Member's Profile URLs -> Member Profile URL Format
• Custom Avatar Image URLs -> Custom Avatar URL Format

Optionally, rewriting member profile pages and avatars can be disabled.



Disable "Replace 'Previous/Next Thread' redirect links?" feature.

This option replaces the 'Next Thread' and 'Previous Thread' links with direct, content relevant links. Disabling it will save two database queries per thread page.

Disable rewriting for attachments/tree icon images

Optionally, rewriting attachment and tree icon image URLs can be disabled.

• Nav Bullet (Tree Icon) Image URLs -> Rewrite Nav Bullet Image URLs?
• Attachment URLs -> Rewrite Attachment URLs?

Disable "Add Thread Titles" features

These features are available in vBulletion version 3.5x or greater. Optionally, you may disable them.

Related vbseocp.php options:

• Add Thread Titles -> Add Thread Titles to Showthread Links Anchor Text?
• Add Thread Titles -> Add Thread Titles to Showpost Links Anchor Text?

Disable features with outgoing network connections.

Various features have outgoing network connections. To reduce or eliminate these requests, you can disable the following vbseocp.php features:

• Outgoing LinkBacks -> Update Services
• Outgoing LinkBacks -> Enable Outgoing Pingbacks
• Outgoing LinkBacks -> Enable Outgoing Trackbacks
• Add Titles to External Links -> Add Page Titles to External Links Anchor Text?

IonCube vs. Zend

You may consider trying both the Zend and IonCube versions of vBSEO to determine if there is a performance variation. In some limited test cases, the server environment showed improved performance while of one over the other.

scusate ragazzi, senza offesa, e spero vivamente che non la prendiate come tale, ma questa guida è totalmente inutile in quanto non dice neinte di più di quello che viene riportato sul sito ufficiale, tra l'altro in maniera incomprensibile, sia per chi non conosce l'inglese, non è il mio caso, sia perchè indica delle cose che non hanno assolutamente senso in quanto non presenti nell admin di vbse, esempio:Forum URLs -> Forum URL Format

magari traducendola e dando quale spiegazione per ogni punto sarebbe più utile per tutti. Il mio è solo un suggerimento da nuovo utente. Grazie all'admin per averla postata cmq

Nulla è inutile, anche se postato in lingua straniera.

Tutte le opzioni elencate sono presenti nel pannello di controllo di vBSeo, e visto che attualmente è in lingua inglese, non disponibile in italiano, non penso sia cosi difficile applicare queste modifiche.

Queste impostazioni sono suggerite da alcuni amministratori di vBSeo, e considerando che non sempre è facile trovare risorse come queste su di un sito, ho preferito riportarle anche qui sul Forum, con relativa fonte, perchè le ritengo utili ed interessanti.

Che poi si possa poi tradurre o creare una Guida completamente in Italiano, sicuramente sarebbe meglio, e nessuno ha mai detto che non verrà fatto :)
